A clear process

From first conversation to a confident launch.

The process is deliberately small and focused: understand what matters, make the direction tangible, then build and refine the agreed scope.

01

Understand the business

I start with what customers need to know, what already works, which tools the business uses and what would make the project worthwhile.

02

Shape the direction

For selected businesses, I create a tailored private concept that makes the proposed direction tangible before a full commitment is made.

03

Build, refine and launch

Once the scope and deposit are agreed, the website is built responsively, reviewed in two focused rounds, tested and prepared for launch.

Straightforward pricing

A focused website, photography when it helps, and clear care after launch.

Every new website is paired with Website Care at £25/month for the initial 12 months. That makes the total first-year cost £800 for the website package or £950 with photography.

How referrals work

A personal studio

Considered creative work, without the agency fog.

I’m Daniel, founder of Page & Place. I design websites and create photography for independent businesses that want to look professional online. I take a thoughtful, practical approach: clear communication, considered design and support you can rely on.

You speak directly with the person designing and building the site, so decisions stay clear and the finished work stays close to the real business.

More about Page & Place

Common questions

Clear answers before the project begins.

A good working relationship starts with sensible expectations about content, platforms, ownership, support and cost.

Will the website actually look like my business?

That is the point of the process. The structure, type, colour, imagery and calls to action are chosen around your business, customers and existing brand rather than dropped into a generic industry template.

Do I need to provide all of the content?

You provide the accurate business facts and any existing material. Page & Place helps organise it, identifies gaps and drafts concise website copy within the agreed scope. Extensive copywriting or research is quoted separately.

Can you use my existing booking or ordering platform?

Usually, yes. Established services such as OpenTable, Fresha, Booksy, Calendly, Deliveroo, Just Eat, WhatsApp and Google Maps can normally be linked or embedded where the platform supports it. Third-party fees remain separate.

Can you update menus, prices, images and opening hours?

Yes. Website Care at £25/month is required alongside every new Page & Place website for the initial 12 months, with one consolidated request and up to 30 minutes of content work each month. Larger or more frequent changes are quoted before work begins.

Who owns the domain and website?

After full payment, the client owns the final project-specific website content and domain, while approved photography is supplied with a perpetual commercial-use licence. Technical access, administration and handover details are recorded for each project.

What happens if I stop the care plan?

The care plan is required for the initial 12 months with every new Page & Place website, then becomes monthly rolling. Early termination during the initial term follows the agreed termination terms. The client keeps the domain and website source when support ends; reasonable initial handover is included and additional migration work is agreed separately.
